Criteria for upgrade to Fellow

SECTION A

Prerequisite

  • Must be a full Member for at least ten (10) years
  • Must be a financial member of the Institute (Consistently paying Annual Dues)
  • Must be of good standing and not convicted in any law court or Judicial panel
  • Must have obtained 100 credit points within the ten (10) years of full membership (through attendance of at least Three (3) different NIM events/programmes) g. Continuing Learning and Development (CLAD) Programme, Training & Development,  Annual National Management Conference (ANMC) , Women In Management Summit and Conference, Management Summit, Distinguished Management Lecture, Overseas Collaboration Training Programme, etc. ANMC and CLAD attendance are mandatory. The points should spread across the 10 years of full membership.
  • Must be a Deputy Director or Equivalent in the Private or Public Sector on salary grade level 16 with the following additional requirements:
  • Must have minimum of 20 years professional work experience
  • Must have spent minimum of 3 years in the position of deputy director
  • Must submit a detailed CV covering the entire professional career

CONSIDERATION FOR OIL & GAS AND OTHER RELATED INDUSTRIES:

Members in the Oil & Gas industry will be considered based on the following criteria in addition to those listed above:

  • Must be a Senior Executive in the Oil & Gas Industry with the requisite number of years of professional career growth.
  • Must have minimum of 20 years professional work experience
  • Must have spent minimum of 3 years in the position of Senior Executive
  • Must submit a detailed CV covering the entire professional career

CONSIDERATION FOR PRIVATE BUSINESS OWNERS:

  • Must have been operating the business for not less than 3 years with the following additional requirements:
  • Must provide year of incorporation/start-up date (CAC document)
  • Must provide proof of staff strength (Staff strength should not be less than five (5) )
  • Must provide records of other organization(s) where they have worked previously
  • Must have minimum of 20 years professional career all together
  • Must submit a detailed CV covering the entire professional career

SECTION B:

CRITERIA

  • CONTRIBUTION TO  THE  DEVELOPMENT  OF  THE  INSTITUTE  (Resource Person; Sponsorship / Donation  to support NIM Programmes; Payment of levies; being a Branch / Chapter Chairman, Council Member, Council / Committee Member, etc)
  • CONTRIBUTION TO  MANAGEMENT  PROFFESSION

(Publications, Consultancy /Resources Person, etc)

  • STATUS/POSITION IN OWN PROFESSION/ORGANISATION (Head of Organization or Ministry, General Manager in a company listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Deputy Director or Equivalent in the Public Sector)
  • CONTRIBUTIONS TO SOCIETY (Evidence of Contribution to the Society/Personal Donation and Sponsorship of projects, etc)
